Planet Technologies and Dialogic Corporation (“Dialogic”), a leading provider of world-class technologies that enable its customers and partners to deliver innovative mobile, video, IP, and TDM solutions, have announced they will be working together to provide Unified Communications solutions to Planet’s Microsoft clients worldwide.
Planet and Dialogic, both Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, are combining their expertise to offer the Dialogic® 4000 Media Gateway Series (DMG4000 Gateways) to connect an organization’s phone system and data network, enabling the addition of VoIP-based unified communications solutions. Planet will also offer its Microsoft clients high-quality services, including installation and integration of the DMG4000 Gateways.
Microsoft has approved DMG4000 Gateways for use as an interconnect between legacy PBXs or the PSTN and IT systems running Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007, allowing organizations to use unified communications with their existing phone systems. DMG4000 Gateways are “hybrid gateways” based on a standard rack-mount server running the Windows® operating system. They are designed for the Office Communications Server 2007 role of Mediation Server, which is Microsoft’s technology for providing PSTN and PBX interoperability, high-fidelity VoIP, and security.
The DMG4000 Gateways were recently awarded an INTERNET TELEPHONY 2007 Product of the Year Award and have a familiar user interface, which minimizes Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by reducing the need for operational and administrative training and special maintenance. In addition, DMG4000 Gateways keep the number of devices needed to support Office Communications Server 2007 to a minimum by integrating the Mediation Server into a gateway, reducing hardware maintenance.
