Planet's Texas DIR DBITS Contract

Planet holds a Deliverables-Based IT Services (DBITS) contract with the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) to deliver technology services through its Cooperative Contract Program.

Planet’s Texas DIR DBITS contract can be used by state and local government, public education, other public entities in Texas, as well as public entities outside the state to develop new IT applications, modernize legacy systems, or for general IT procurement assistance, including Independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) services.

Services Offered Under DIR-CPO-6061

Eligible customers in and outside of the State of Texas can access Planet’s expertise across all four TX DIR DBITS service categories:

    • Application Development, Maintenance, and Support; Technology Upgrade, Migration, and Transformation Services; ERP

Including, but not limited to new application development (mainframe, server, web, etc.); application maintenance, troubleshooting, security improvements, technology upgrades, migrations, and transformation projects; ERP implementation, conversion, training, and business process reengineering.

    • Business Intelligence, Data Management, Analytics, and Automation, including Data Warehousing

Including, but not limited to data warehousing, data mining, reporting, and analytics; roadmapping for data warehouse initiatives; use case development and requirements analysis.

    • IT Assessments, Planning, IV&V; Market Research, Procurement Advisory, and Contract Implementation Services

Including, but not limited to IT effectiveness and maturity assessments; strategic and tactical planning, governance, architecture; independent verification and validation (IV\&V); market research, procurement advisory, contract transition; data governance, business analytics, reporting.

    • Project & Program Management

Including, but not limited to full project/program management lifecycle (PMI/PMBOK, Agile, change management); business case development, risk assessment, stakeholder management; strategic planning, program assessment, training, and coaching.
