Microsoft Purview is introducing a new Endpoint Data Loss Prevention Device Status API, enabling organizations to access device-level health and onboarding data programmatically. Previously limited to manual exports, this information can now be integrated directly into dashboards, reporting tools, and automated workflows. This update allows security and compliance teams to monitor endpoint DLP posture at scale, reduce manual effort, and streamline reporting across environments. The feature is currently in development and expected to begin rolling out in April 2026.

Microsoft Purview: Information Protection – Sensitivity label support in Engage
Organizations can now manually apply Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels in Engage. Allowing admins to create labels and configure label publishing policies to determine which users and groups can manually label content in Engage communities. End users in Engage will be able to then manually apply labels to communities and in turn classify and protect their sensitive data via privacy and external user access controls.

Exchange: Exchange Online Moderation approval requests via Actionable Messages
The Exchange Online Moderation feature gives message moderators the ability to Approve or Reject sending a moderated message to its intended recipients via a special email message form that includes Approve and Reject buttons in the Outlook Desktop or Outlook on the web toolbar. However, the ability to approve or reject a moderated message currently isn’t supported on Outlook for iOS, Outlook for Android, or Outlook for Mac. With this update to use Actionable Messages for moderation approval messages, moderators with mailboxes hosted in Exchange Online will now be able to approve or reject moderated messages via all the Microsoft email clients: from Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, Outlook for iOS and Outlook for Android.

Teams Rooms on Windows now supports separate chats for event coordination and audience engagement in structured meetings and webinars. When a room joins as an organizer, co-organizer, or presenter, organizers and presenters – including external presenters – can communicate privately in the Event Group chat, while switching to a separate chat to engage attendees. This helps to improve backstage coordination, reduce in event friction, and deliver smoother, more professional live experiences. Available in Teams Rooms Pro–licensed rooms.
