Microsoft Teams: Noise Suppression for Dial-In Participants in Teams Audio Conferences
Microsoft Teams will soon support noise suppression for dial-in participants. This feature automatically filters out background noise (e.g., traffic, typing) for users who join meetings via phone (PSTN). It enhances clarity and reduces distractions for all meeting participants. The feature will be rolled out gradually. Microsoft Teams: Private channels increased limits and transition to group compliance
We are updating private channels to align with compliance model for all channels. After this change, compliance policies applied to the team (M365 Group) will apply to all channels in the team – across standard, private, and shared. Private channels will no longer need user level targeting of policies different from other channels, and private channel compliance messages will no longer be copied to user mailboxes, relying on a dedicated, internal mailbox per channel like shared channels. In addition, limits for private channels will be increased so each team can have more than 30 private channels, up to the 1000 total channel limit per team. Microsoft Viva: A new reactions look and feel in Viva Engage
After further review, we are not able to continue rolling this out at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Viva Engage will feature a new look and feel for reactions in conversations. Users will see a more interactive style, showing others’ reactions as clickable pills across the conversation card. This design brings Engage reactions more in line with other Microsoft 365 products, including Teams. There are no changes to the number of icons available in Engage with this new design. Users will see this change in Engage web and Teams and Outlook apps. Mobile apps and other integrated surfaces will follow.

Microsoft Viva: Viva Engage – User-level mute
The mute user feature will allow users to remove other users’ posts from their feeds and digests. Users cannot mute designated leaders. Muting a user does not block notifications or at-mentions from that user. Admins can turn this feature on or off for the entire network.

Microsoft Teams: Block a user for your organization in GCC-High and DoD
We have decided not to release this feature at this time and will add a new item to the roadmap in the future. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. With the availability of the delete API (removeallaccessforuser API), it does not stop the malicious user from resending the message to the same victim. To help prevent that, a block user API will allow the admin to block the malicious user from reaching out again. To make this even more effective, we will utilize a similar feature as the allow/block list in federation to block the malicious user from the entire organization.
