Microsoft is working on improving version history for SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries generated with grid view editing. This update will improve reliability, reduce storage, and streamline the user experience by consolidating multiple edits into one where possible. Automation rules and flows, if configured with item level edits, will also now trigger more efficiently. The feature is currently in development and scheduled for release in November 2025.

Collection policies allow customers to scope classification (SITs – Sensitive Information Types) and activities for scoped users. We recommend reviewing collection policies as they can be created by different Purview solution admins to ensure they are setup to detect the activities required by IRM policies
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Excel: Python in Excel for the web (GCC)

As a part of this feature release, eligible users with access to Excel for the web will be able to add Python formulas directly into their workbooks without any installation required. These Python formulas will be run by Excel in a secure container on the Microsoft Cloud with enterprise-level security as a compliant Microsoft 365 connected experience.

Microsoft Viva: New card for Viva Engage conversations in Viva Connections dashboard

Users will be able to view and interact with their Viva Engage feed conversations directly in Viva Connections through a new card in the dashboard. This is possible when the admins/operators add the Engage card into their tenant Viva Connections dashboard. Users can then click on the card to engage with their Viva Engage feed conversations directly in Viva Connections without being redirected out of the app.
