Microsoft Outlook is enhancing calendar visibility in the new Outlook by automatically displaying teammates’ calendars—such as peers, direct reports, and managers—in the left navigation pane. This update makes it easier for users to understand availability at a glance, reducing friction when scheduling meetings and coordinating work across teams. By surfacing relevant calendars without manual setup, Microsoft is streamlining day-to-day collaboration in the new Outlook experience. The feature is currently in development and is expected to roll out beginning March 2026 for Commercial, GCC, GCC High, and DoD environments.

Microsoft 365 admin center: Agents usage report

A new agents usage report will be available in the Microsoft 365 admin center. The report will be scoped to include agents in M365 Copilot and Copilot Chat with usage by both M365 Copilot licensed and unlicensed users. The report will include total active agent users, total active agents, active users segmentation by licensed and unlicensed users, and active users and active agents segmentation by publisher type (i.e. user-created agents, agents built by your org, agents built by Microsoft, agents built by Microsoft partners). Currently, clicking on cited content in Copilot opens files outside of Copilot. With this new feature, content can be opened directly in Copilot Chat to make viewing documents more streamlined alongside chat. Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Insider Risk Management – User analytics

With this feature, insights will be generated for potentially risky behaviors at a user level and will be surfaced across the following experiences:

1) Insider risk management context in DLP alert investigation
2) Insider risk management context in Communication compliance alert investigation
3) Insider risk management context in Microsoft Defender XDR user entity page
4) Advanced hunting in Microsoft Defender XDR

User analytics will cover all eligible users in the tenant including users not in the scope of any Insider risk management policy. Customers can enable/disable user analytics in their tenant from Insider Risk Management settings.

Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies to manage security and compliance. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: Migration Tool for Teams

Microsoft Viva: Focus Area simplification and enhancements

Beginning with this feature release, Focus Areas will be associated with survey cycles and goal periods will be retired. Users will be able to select the same Focus Area across multiple cycles. The Focus Area Overview report will be filterable to groups of interest (e.g. managers only). Draft/deleted Focus Areas will no longer be included in Focus Area calculations.

Microsoft Purview: Data Lifecycle Management-Auto-Archive for Exchange Online

A new capability called Auto-Archiving for Exchange Online will enter public preview in November 2025 (currently under private preview for selected customers). When a user’s mailbox utilization exceeds 95% of its quota and archive mailbox is present, this feature automatically moves the oldest items excluding those tagged with “Never Move to Archive” from the primary mailbox to the archive mailbox to prevent mail flow disruptions by keeping usage below the safe threshold of 95% of mailbox quota.
