Power BI – Dashboard in a Day (DIAD)

Planet Technologies’ Dashboard in a Day is a comprehensive, hands-on workshop designed for business analysts and users who want to learn the capabilities of Power BI. This one-day training session covers the following key areas:

1. Data Connection and Transformation: Learn how to connect to, import, and transform data.
2. Data Exploration: Use powerful visualization tools to explore and understand your data.
3. Report Building: Create stunning, interactive reports with Power BI.
4. Sharing via the Power BI Service: By leveraging the Power BI Service*, Power BI’s online experience, we will learn how to share your published reports and dashboards with your team and business partners

*Accessing the Power BI Service (Online) requires Power BI Pro licensing

By the end of the workshop, participants will have a solid understanding of how to use Power BI to create and share insightful dashboard.

Prerequisites

Before joining the workshop, please be sure to complete the following:

• Power BI Desktop installed. Helpful Hint: Click here to download Power BI Desktop
• The lab files downloaded and extracted to a unique folder named “DIAD” in your C: drive. Helpful Hint: If your C: drive is inaccessible on your device, please create this folder on your Desktop
• Have at least 2 monitors, one to watch the instructor and the other to perform the labs yourself
• Access to the online experience, Power BI Service (licensing permitting). Helpful Hint: This is accessible via the Microsoft 365 app portal
• Download Resource Library materials as needed.
