Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows is adding support for Microsoft Entra Resource Accounts, enabling secure, passwordless sign-in that separates device identities from user identities. IT admins can migrate existing accounts using a built-in migration wizard and monitor progress through a dashboard in the Teams Rooms Pro Management portal. For GCC High environments where identity governance and credential security are critical compliance considerations, this update provides a structured path to eliminating password-based authentication on shared room devices. The feature is currently in development and expected to begin rolling out in June 2026.

Microsoft Teams: Entra passwordless resource account support for Teams Rooms on Windows devices
Teams rooms on Windows supports Entra Resource Accounts for secure, passwordless sign-in that separates device and user identities. IT admins can migrate to Entra accounts easily with the migration wizard, and track progress using a dashboard in the Pro Management portal.

Microsoft Teams: Multi‑camera view support for GCC-H and DoD in Teams Rooms on Windows
GCC-H and DoD cloud customers can now experience multi-camera views in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, allowing remote participants to switch between multiple in-room camera feeds for improved visibility and engagement in larger spaces. Microsoft Teams: Multi-stream IntelliFrame support for GCC-H and DoD in Teams Rooms on Windows
GCC-H and DoD customers can now experience multi-stream IntelliFrame in Microsoft Teams Rooms on Windows, which sends separate video feeds of each in-room participant to improve hybrid meeting visibility and inclusivity. Requires a compatible intelligent camera. Available with Teams Rooms Pro.

Microsoft Teams: Test your microphone before you join
Before joining a meeting on your pre-join screen, you can test your microphone and speaker to make sure others will hear you clearly. Select Test mic and speaker to record a short audio clip and play it back. This helps you confirm that the right devices are selected and that you’ll be heard—and hear others—once the meeting starts.

Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management- IRM alerts in XDR
With this feature, IRM alerts and other supporting data will be available in the following Microsoft Defender XDR experiences:
1. IRM alerts will be surfaced in unified alert and Incident queue in Microsoft Defender XDR.
2. IRM alerts, Indicators and enriched events will be available in Microsoft Defender XDR advanced hunting. Analysts can leverage KQL queries to identify potentially hidden risky patterns in data security related user activity.
3. IRM alert, Indicators and enriched events will be exposed through Graph API.
This feature can be enabled through “Share data with Microsoft Defender XDR” within Microsoft Insider Risk Management settings
IRM data in Microsoft Defender XDR does not honor anonymization. This is to enable effective correlation of IRM alerts with alerts from other solutions in Microsoft Defender XDR platform (such as Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud apps, etc.).
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: Admin setting for simpler meeting passcodes (numeric‑only)
Tenant admins can enable a meeting policy setting that generates 8 digit numeric-only passcodes for meetings organized by selected users/groups. Because numeric-only passcodes increase the risk of unauthorized access, enabling the setting displays a warning and requires explicit confirmation.
