Microsoft is extending Insider Risk Management in GCC High to detect risky AI usage in highly regulated environments, giving administrators deeper visibility into how generative AI interacts with sensitive data. New detections focus on prompts and AI-generated responses that include sensitive information or draw from protected files or sites, helping identify potential insider risk tied to automated activity. Coverage spans Microsoft Copilots and third-party AI tools, with built-in privacy controls such as pseudonymization, role-based access, and auditing to support compliance requirements in GCC High and DoD tenants. The update begins rolling out in January 2026.

Microsoft Purview: eDiscovery-Tenant level process report
The tenant‑level process report provides eDiscovery administrators and managers with a centralized view of eDiscovery processes running across cases in the tenant—or across the cases they have access to. It surfaces key details such as process type, status, duration, timestamps, and who initiated each process, enabling better operational oversight, faster issue triage, and clearer end‑to‑end visibility into eDiscovery activity.

Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Risky AI usage
With this update, Insider Risk Management will help admins identify risky AI usage. We are adding new detections of intentional and unintentional insider risk activity on generative AI apps that can pose a risk to an organization. Activities will include risky prompts containing sensitive info or risky intent and sensitive responses containing sensitive info or is generated from sensitive files or sites. Coverage will span across Microsoft Copilots and 3P generative AI apps. These detections will also contribute to Adaptive Protection insider risk levels.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy. #copilotcontrolsystem

Microsoft Teams: Line key configuration on Teams Phone devices from Teams Admin Center (TAC)
This feature allows admins to configure line keys for various scenarios on Teams phone devices, including personal and common area phones (CAP). Microsoft Teams: Automatic installation and update of Network Device Interface (NDI) in Teams (MAC)
This update now enables users to install and update the Network Device Interface (NDI) automatically in Microsoft Teams on MAC devices without any manual process. This allows organizations to broadcast audio and video streams from Teams instances to a user’s local network.
