Microsoft Purview is expanding Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) capabilities with new item-level investigation and remediation tools for SharePoint data risk assessments. Administrators will gain deeper visibility into potentially overshared content through insights such as sensitivity labels and sharing link details. From the same interface, organizations will be able to take direct remediation actions, including notifying users, applying sensitivity labels, or removing sharing links for specific items. This update helps security and compliance teams quickly reduce data exposure, strengthen governance controls, and ensure sensitive information remains accessible only to the appropriate users. The feature is currently in development and expected to arrive in April 2026 for GCC and GCC High environments.

Microsoft Purview: DSPM data risk assessments: item-level investigation & remediation
Microsoft Purview Data risk assessments now support item-level investigation and remediation of SharePoint data. New insights like sensitivity label and sharing link information help users identify items at risk of oversharing. Users are empowered to remediate overshared items by resolving, notifying, applying a sensitivity label, or removing sharing links for selected item(s). This helps organizations proactively reduce data exposure, strengthen compliance posture, and ensure sensitive data are only accessible to the right people.

Outlook: Summarize email with Copilot chat in Outlook
Easily summarize your email with Copilot chat in a single click. This will be available to users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license who have pinning enabled. This change is coming to both Classic and new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac and Outlook Mobile. Summaries of email attachments in Copilot chat will also be available in new Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac and Outlook Mobile. #newoutlookforwindows

Intelligent meeting recap will now include video-based recaps. Video recap creates narrated video highlights from recorded meetings, featuring key takeaways and short clips that showcase important moments.

Microsoft Teams: Image viewer improvements enable scrolling and jumping to original message
Lightbox enhancements let users scroll through all previously shared images in a conversation, provide a clearer visual focus on the image being viewed, and add a header option that jumps directly to the original message where the image was posted.
