Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management now allows investigators to create cases without immediately downloading content, removing a bottleneck that previously tied case creation to content availability. A new active case limit of 2,000 gives compliance teams significantly more capacity to triage and track potential insider risk events — particularly useful when content download is unnecessary or when teams need to preserve case records while managing download limits. Content download can be initiated at any point while a case remains active, keeping investigations flexible without sacrificing thoroughness. The feature is currently rolling out for GCC High environments.

Outlook: Emails marked with External to be supported as Rules conditions
The External tag on an email, set by the ExternalInOutlook feature, will now be usable as a condition in Outlook Inbox Rules. This change also makes available the ability to create or modify these Rules on the new Outlook for Windows, Outlook Web, and Outlook for Mac.

Outlook: Choose to Show Unread or Total Count for Each Folder
You can now pick whether each folder in your folder pane shows the unread count or the total item count. Until now, Outlook only displayed unread counts, but sometimes you need to see how many items are in a folder overall. Just right-click any folder and choose whether to show the total or unread count. It gives you more control over how you keep track of your email without changing how anything else works. #newoutlookforwindows

Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Ability to create cases without content in IRM
Insider Risk Management is providing the ability to create a case without content. With this, we will introduce a new active case limit (2000). This new functionality will allow customers to create more cases particularly when content download is unnecessary. If a case is created without content download, content download can be initiated anytime the case is active pending available content download limits. There is no change to the active content download limit (100).
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Teams: Test your microphone before you join
Before joining a meeting on your pre-join screen, you can test your microphone and speaker to make sure others will hear you clearly. Select Test mic and speaker to record a short audio clip and play it back. This helps you confirm that the right devices are selected and that you’ll be heard—and hear others—once the meeting starts.

Outlook: Improved handling of disallowed and failed email reactions
Emails with reactions disallowed will now see the Reactions button grayed out correctly. Additionally, when any attempt to react fails, the local update will no longer remain onscreen and be properly undone.
