GCC High Priority Update
Week of October 22, 2026
Microsoft is extending Copilot Chat to shared and delegate mailboxes in Outlook for GCC High and DoD environments, allowing users who manage or work from shared inboxes to access Copilot assistance without switching to a personal mailbox. This update closes a meaningful gap for organizations where shared mailboxes handle high-volume communication — support queues, legal inboxes, executive delegate accounts — where Copilot’s drafting and summarization capabilities are equally valuable. The feature is currently in development and expected to begin rolling out in November 2026.

Microsoft Dataverse: Prompt column values in bulk for existing records (backfill)
Prompt columns can now generate AI values for records that already exist in your table, not just new or updated ones. Makers can choose to apply a prompt to existing records in bulk, optionally filtered to just the rows they need, so historical data gets the same AI-generated insights as incoming data, without touching each record one at a time.

Power Apps: Manage model-driven app AI features from consolidated settings
Consolidated AI settings make it easier for makers and admins to find and manage AI capabilities for model-driven apps across two complementary surfaces. In Maker Studio, the Settings dialog in the model app form designer adds a new top-level Copilot and AI tab. Makers can see and adjust all available AI options for the app in one place instead of finding them scattered among all the other settings. In the Power Platform admin center, model-driven app AI settings are consolidated from Environment ; Settings into Copilot Hub ; Power Apps. This provides a central location for settings such as Generative pages, Copilot in apps, and the in-app AI skills. The in-app skill settings are organized into these groups: Data entry: Form fill assistance. Summary: Row summaries. Data analysis: AI-generated charts and natural-language search and filtering. Labels and descriptions are aligned across Maker Studio and Copilot Hub so makers and admins can understand how the controls relate. As part of this consolidation, the old model-driven app AI switches under Environment ; Settings will also be retired and removed. Power Apps: Access updated visuals for row summaries across forms and views
The row summaries experience has a refreshed layout that makes AI-generated insights more prominent and easier to consume. Improved visual hierarchy (including clearer spacing, background and border treatments, status indicators, and generation labels) helps summaries stand apart from surrounding form sections so users can quickly identify key information. The visual treatment takes inspiration from similar AI-powered experiences in Microsoft 365 apps, creating a more recognizable and consistent presentation for AI-generated content. It also establishes a foundation for bringing insights from multiple sources into a unified summary experience over time. Microsoft-provided summaries from Dynamics 365 applications, including Customer Service and Sales, are also available directly from model-driven app view pages. Users can access relevant insights while browsing records in a grid without opening each record individually. You’re always in control, as each section can be turned on or off based on your preferences. The new Meeting chats section will replace the Meeting chats filter, that was previously available at the top of the chat and channel list. Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Enhanced user profile in IRM alerts
We’re enhancing the User section within Insider Risk Management alerts to provide investigators with more contextual user profile and risk attributes directly within their workflow. With this update, analysts can now view key user details such as employee type, office location, start date, policy inclusion, priority user group status, and last working day—helping them build a more complete understanding of the user during investigations without navigating away from the alert experience. This feature will be available as part of the new alert workflow through the Alert Details panel. Additional user attributes will continue to be introduced over time, with pseudo-anonymization honored to support privacy-by-design investigation practices. Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Microsoft Purview: Insider Risk Management – Expanding note capabilities across alerts & cases
We’re introducing a new collaboration capability in Insider Risk Management that enables analysts and investigators to add notes directly within alerts. With this feature, users can document investigation progress, share findings, and capture key context throughout the triage process. In addition to manually added notes, system-generated notes will automatically record updates such as alert status changes or user assignments — helping teams maintain a clear and auditable investigation timeline. By centralizing investigation history directly within alerts, this update helps improve collaboration and ensures all stakeholders stay aligned throughout the investigation lifecycle. These note enhancements will also be made available in Cases.
