GCC High Priority Update
Week of September 17, 2026
Microsoft is bringing Copilot edit mode in Word to GCC High and DoD environments, enabling government users to work with Copilot as a co-creator directly inside their documents. Users can create, refine, and reshape content through natural language without leaving Word — a capability that has been available in commercial Microsoft 365 and is now reaching sovereign cloud users. For GCC High organizations where Copilot adoption is accelerating, this update brings one of the most practical day-to-day Copilot capabilities into the government cloud workflow. The feature is currently in development and expected to begin rolling out in October 2026.
