Microsoft is letting you customize your own keyboard shortcuts in Teams to match your work preferences. Customize the keyboard shortcut for an action you frequently use by clicking on the ellipsis and selecting Keyboard shortcuts from the menu. This is rolling out in June 2025 worldwide.

Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat – General Availability for the DoD environment
Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat Copilot is available at no additional cost for Microsoft 365 DOD users who sign in with their Microsoft Entra account (no Microsoft 365 Copilot license required). Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat offers enterprise data protection (EDP), and secure AI chat designed for work, powered by the latest large language models with optional web grounding. The general availability of this release will be delivered to the users with web grounding OFF by default to meet US Government requirements. Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365): Access Copilot Chat in your Microsoft 365 apps

Microsoft Teams: Noise Suppression for Dial-In Participants in Teams Audio Conferences
Microsoft Teams will soon support noise suppression for dial-in participants. This feature automatically filters out background noise (e.g., traffic, typing) for users who join meetings via phone (PSTN). It enhances clarity and reduces distractions for all meeting participants. The feature will be rolled out gradually. However, if you’d like to enable it yourself, you will be able to do so via the Teams Admin Center:

Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal: Data Lifecycle Management- Introduction of secure workflow to bypass retention holds and delete content on OneDrive and SharePoint Online
We’re introducing a new capability in Microsoft Purview Data Lifecycle Management to bypass retention policies and delete content from OneDrive and SharePoint Online before the hold or retention policy duration expires. This feature helps organizations manage Copilot-related artifacts—such as Teams recordings and transcripts—independently of OneDrive retention polices, so organizations can decide how long they want to keep and when to delete this content.
The feature includes support for simulation testing, audit, and disposition reviews, and introduces admin policy authoring flows. Microsoft Teams: Compact Notification Size

Microsoft Teams: Saved messages
Quickly get back to important information without scrolling through long conversations. You can save messages, whether it is a post, a reply or chat message, and find them later in the Saved view in your Chat or Teams list. Microsoft Viva: Viva Amplify – Support for click through rate metric in Amplify reporting
This release will enhance Amplify reporting by adding click through rate metric. This release will enhance SharePoint page analytics by adding click through rate metric. Outlook: Browse Conversation Files
This feature makes it easy for users to find and access all files within a conversation thread. Scoped access enables managers to view Copilot insights specific to their own organizations both on the Copilot Dashboard and in additional Copilot reports on the Reports page. This allows leaders at different levels to monitor adoption and impact within their teams, while respecting organizational boundaries and privacy. Microsoft Edge: Open external links in another profile when recommended by external applications
When Microsoft Edge is set as the default browser to open external links from applications, Microsoft Edge must determine which profile to open the links. Users can control which profile to use through the “Default profile for external links†setting. Applications such as Microsoft Teams or Outlook can also recommend a profile for the links. Currently, the user setting is prioritized over application recommendations. With this feature, the application recommended profile is given priority, instead of the profile selected in the setting. Outlook: Shared Mailboxes as Accounts
Shared Mailboxes can be added as Accounts in the new Outlook for Windows. The Shared Mailbox will appear at the Account Level in the Folder list. Access to the Shared Mailbox requires the user’s credentials and associated permissions. #newoutlookforwindows

Microsoft Clipchamp: Sharing a portion of a video as a clip
Clipchamp allows authors and viewers alike to share a portion of a video without changing the original media. Using draggable handles on the playback timeline, a link containing the desired clip start and end is put on the clipboard for easy sharing. Opening this link will play only the specified clip, and viewers can easily pop out to view the full video if desired. This will allow users to share the most relevant portion of their content.

OneDrive: New Folder Anyone Link Permission: View & Upload
We’re introducing a new ‘View and Upload’ permission for folder ‘Anyone’ links in the OneDrive Admin Sharing Settings. This feature allows tenants to restrict folder links to ‘Anyone can view’ while still enabling the ‘Request Files’ functionality. It offers tenants more granular control over content access, ensures compliance with internal policies, and helps administrators maintain a higher level of data governance.

Microsoft Purview compliance portal: Data Lifecycle Management – Separation of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 retention policy location from Microsoft Teams chats
Purview Data lifecycle Management will be providing a capability to configure separate retention policies for Copilots and AI Apps in GCC and DoD by June 2025. As Copilot got announced in Gov clouds in Nov 2024, we are going ahead with Separate retention policies for Copilots right from the outset. Hence the earlier feature of separating Copilots from Teams chat is not applicable for Gov clouds.
