Week of March 12, 2026
A new agents usage report is coming to the Microsoft 365 admin center, giving administrators deeper visibility into how agents are being used across Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat. The report will track both licensed and unlicensed user activity, including total active agents, active users, and usage patterns across different agent types—such as user-created agents, organization-built agents, and those developed by Microsoft or partners. Admins will also be able to review usage details by user, agent, and user-agent pair, providing clearer insight into how agents are being adopted and used across the organization. The feature is currently in development with a planned release in March 2026.

With this update, admins with the appropriate permissions can get tailored recommended thresholds for all the built-in indicators within the policy wizard. This feature enables organizations to fine tune their insider risk policies and get an optimal number of alerts.
Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.

Exchange: Exchange Online Moderation approval requests via Actionable Messages
The Exchange Online Moderation feature gives message moderators the ability to Approve or Reject sending a moderated message to its intended recipients via a special email message form that includes Approve and Reject buttons in the Outlook Desktop or Outlook on the web toolbar. However, the ability to approve or reject a moderated message currently isn’t supported on Outlook for iOS, Outlook for Android, or Outlook for Mac. With this update to use Actionable Messages for moderation approval messages, moderators with mailboxes hosted in Exchange Online will now be able to approve or reject moderated messages via all the Microsoft email clients: from Outlook for Windows, Outlook for Mac, Outlook for iOS and Outlook for Android.

The report will include total active agent users, total active agents, active users segmentation by licensed and unlicensed users, and active users and active agents segmentation by publisher type (i.e. user-created agents, agents built by your org, agents built by Microsoft, agents built by Microsoft partners).
