Commercial Priority Update
Week of October 15, 2026
Microsoft Edge is adding support for displaying sensitivity labels applied to Microsoft Information Protection-protected PDFs in the new Edge PDF viewer, giving users immediate visibility into a document’s classification before they act on it. When a protected PDF is opened, the applied sensitivity label is surfaced directly in the viewer — helping users understand the data handling requirements for that document without leaving the browser or opening a separate tool. For organizations relying on sensitivity labels as a primary data classification mechanism, this update closes a visibility gap that previously left users unaware of a PDF’s protection status at the point of use. The feature is currently in development and expected to begin rolling out in November 2026.

Dynamics 365 Field Service: Modernize the mobile offline foundation
Business value Field service organizations often depend on mobile offline so technicians can keep working when connectivity is limited or unavailable. As offline profiles grow larger and apps include more related data, first sync, resource loading, and repeated sync work can affect technician productivity and confidence in the mobile experience. Power Apps mobile offline is being updated with a more native foundation for data access and sync orchestration. This foundation is intended to improve responsiveness, reduce repeated sync work, and better support complex Field Service Mobile apps that use larger offline profiles and richer related data. Feature detail This update modernizes the mobile offline foundation used by Power Apps mobile and Field Service Mobile. It includes native sync processing, improved handling of related rows during first sync, and optimizations for app resource and custom file loading. The updated foundation is designed to strengthen offline data access and sync orchestration while preserving the mobile offline app experience customers already use. Administrators and makers should continue to review offline profile design, table relationships, data volume, and file usage to align mobile offline configuration with field usage patterns.

Dynamics 365 Field Service: Enhance mobile offline up-sync
Business value Technicians often complete work in the field while connectivity is limited or intermittent. When offline changes still need to sync, users and back-office teams can be uncertain whether work details, status updates, and other field changes have reached business systems. Mobile offline up-sync is being enhanced so changes captured in the field can continue syncing more reliably. This helps frontline users gain confidence that completed work will be submitted without repeatedly checking the app or following up manually. Feature detail This update improves mobile offline up-sync for changes created while technicians work in Field Service Mobile. It includes support for background up-sync and user notifications when pending changes still need to sync. When changes remain pending, the mobile experience can help users understand that additional sync work is still required. The capability is intended to reduce uncertainty around offline changes and help field updates reach Dataverse more reliably as connectivity becomes available.

Dynamics 365 Field Service: Improve mobile offline reliability across network conditions
Business value Field service work often happens in environments where network quality changes throughout the day. Technicians may move between connected, low-connectivity, intermittent, and offline conditions while still needing the mobile app to remain dependable. Mobile offline is being improved to better detect and respond to changing network conditions. More adaptive sync behavior can help reduce disruptions, avoid unnecessary retries, and improve reliability when users move across different connectivity states. Feature detail This update improves how mobile offline detects and responds to weak, intermittent, or limited connectivity. Sync behavior will become more adaptive so the app can better determine when to sync, when to pause, and when to reduce unnecessary work. The capability is intended to help Field Service Mobile provide a more dependable offline experience in real-world field environments. It focuses on sync behavior and connectivity response, while administrators and makers remain responsible for designing offline profiles that match field usage, data volume, and business requirements.

Dynamics 365 Project Operations: Cancel packing slips for stocked item requirements
This feature supports controlled returns and packing slip cancellations for stocked item requirements originating in Finance and Supply Chain Management. You can open the Packing slip journal from the Item requirements page and cancel packing slips for eligible independent item requirements. Packing slip posting performs the physical inventory update while deferring the financial update, allowing cancellation before invoicing or finalization. Cancellation reverses the project cost, returns the item requirement to open order, and creates negative material usage and sales transactions through dual-write. Negative quantities remain blocked when entered directly in Dataverse. This feature also enables the ability to create new item requirements for both positive consumption and negative return scenarios with product dimensions such as serial number to support returns or warranty scenarios. The feature is off by default. To enable it, in Feature management, enable Enable packing slip cancellation for integrated deployments. It requires Enable packing slip cancellation for item requirements and Enable stocked products usage for resource/non-stock scenarios features to also be enabled. To see the project cost posting, be sure to enable Post packing slip in ledger in Accounts receivable parameters to create the physical inventory voucher and display project cost. Fixed-price projects also require the feature Finalize uninvoiced stocked items before inventory can be financially finalized. Turning off the integrated cancellation feature restores the previous posting behavior and removes cancellation availability. This feature applies to the Project Operations connected with ERP deployment type.

Dynamics 365 Sales: Choose the data sources AI-powered Data Enrichment uses, including CRM notes
AI-powered Data Enrichment now lets admins choose which data sources the agent uses to enrich records. Outlook emails, Teams meetings, and the new CRM notes source each have their own control toggle, and the agent keeps running as long as at least one source is toggled on. Admins no longer need to connect every permission before they create the agent. With CRM notes, the agent extracts insights from manual notes added to supported records and uses them to enrich those records, with no tenant admin consent needed to use CRM notes. Only notes added by users with a Dynamics 365 Sales Premium license are used, and Dataverse search is needed only for emails and Teams meetings, since notes are already linked to their records. These control toggles are available automatically. Admins can turn each source on or off in the Agent behavior section of the Data Enrichment settings. Outlook emails and Teams meetings stay off until their permissions are connected, and connecting a permission never turns a source on by itself. For organizations already using the agent, CRM notes is off by default and a banner lets admins know it’s available. For new organizations, CRM notes is on by default.
