The Microsoft Teams Facilitator agent works alongside you and your team to help you manage your meetings. Throughout the meeting, Facilitator takes notes that everyone can co-author, manages the time and agenda, and can quickly surface relevant information from the web or the conversation itself. Users can now use the Facilitator agent in both scheduled hybrid and impromptu in-person meetings using AI.

Managers will be able to export sections from the Team Summary report in Viva Glint directly to editable PowerPoint slides. This feature allows for more efficient consumption of this report outside Viva Glint, compared to the previous export method which included static screenshots. This feature is launching worldwide this month, September 2025

Microsoft Copilot can generate an audio overview of your transcribed meetings, transforming one or multiple meetings into an engaging listening experience. This capability is only available in English currently and can be tailored in how the review is structured. This feature is rolling out in September 2025.

Improved optical character recognition (OCR) scanning enables Microsoft Purview to scan images for sensitive information through the compliance portal. With Embedded support, OCR will scan content in DOCX, PPTX, XLSX and PDFs (scanned and hybrid containing searchable text and images). This will be in addition to support for standalone images. The update is coming in September 2025 across GCC, GCC High and DoD environments.

Users can create Custom Search Folders in Outlook to automatically highlight emails that match specific criteria such as sender, subject keywords, categories, date ranges, among others. Search folders update in real time and give you a focused view of the messages that matter most, without moving them from their original location.

Microsoft Teams will soon support noise suppression for dial-in participants. This feature automatically filters out background noise (e.g., traffic, typing) for users who join meetings via phone. It enhances clarity and reduces distractions for all meeting participants. The feature will be rolled out gradually but can be enabled earlier via the Teams Admin Center.

Microsoft is adding more email indicators in Insider Risk Management in Microsoft Purview as triggers. The first one is sending email with attachments to free public domains. Second, sending email with attachments to self. Admins with appropriate permissions can enable these indicators from the settings page and use these triggers in the data leaks or data leaks by priority users template.

Data Loss Prevent policy tips for Microsoft Outlook for Mac provide real-time notifications to users when an email contains sensitive information which violates organizational policies. This feature is schedule to roll out in September 2025 for GCC, GCC High, and DoD customers.

Microsoft is adding the ability to save a meeting as a draft on your calendar if you aren’t ready to send the meeting invites. When composing an event with at least one attendee added, select dismiss and then select Save as a Draft. The draft event will show on your calendar as [Draft] along with the title of the event. This update is rolling out in July 2025 for customers worldwide.
