My name is George Scott and I am proud to be part of a small team at Planet Technologies known as Planet Cloud Strategists. Several decades ago I purchased an IBM PS/2 Model 30 computer with the goal of learning computers and joining the industry. After nightly sessions for a couple of years of first learning DOS and then Windows, Microsoft opened a support site in my home of Charlotte, NC and I was fortunate enough to get an interview. From there, it was a whirlwind of supporting many products (including Windows NT when it first released) and then moving into the Education Sales group. Education customers were the first ones to embrace the cloud, utilizing the Live@EDU email, and I’ve specialized in cloud solutions since those early days. After 27 years at Microsoft, it was time for a change and I’m excited to work with a brilliant group of people at Planet.

On a personal note, I currently reside in Tampa Bay, Florida with my wife and 15-year-old daughter. We spend a lot of time on the water and enjoy live music. I’m a technologist at heart so I also spend time on home automation and other electronics that make our life easier (or harder depending on the day of the week!).
