Tech Theory, the 8(a) Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture between J3, LLC, and Planet Technologies, expands federal access to mission-based IT services through the SEWP VI contract vehicle.
Tech Theory, LLC, the 8(a) Mentor-Protégé Joint Venture led by J3, LLC, with Planet Technologies (Planet) as its mentor-protégé partner, today announced it has been selected for NASA’s Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement VI (SEWP VI) Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) under Category C, IT Mission-Based Services. For federal buyers navigating modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI priorities, the award creates a streamlined path to mission-based IT services through one of the government’s most widely used acquisition vehicles.
SEWP VI Category C gives agencies a competitive, contract-ready way to acquire mission-based IT services, including custom software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud, IT operations and help desk support, network and database services, and in-scope training.
“Federal agencies are under pressure to modernize infrastructure, strengthen cybersecurity, and put AI to work in practical, mission-focused ways,” said Jeannie Jones-Ledford, President and CEO of J3, LLC. “Tech Theory brings together the deep expertise of J3 and Planet to help agencies operationalize AI, modernize critical systems, strengthen security, and turn technology capabilities into solutions that deliver greater mission impact.”
Through SEWP VI, Tech Theory offers federal customers pre-negotiated terms, competitive pricing, and one of the lowest administrative fees in government, backed by the combined mission delivery expertise of J3 and Planet.
“Tech Theory offers agencies a direct path to the mission-based IT services they rely on, delivered by a team that understands federal missions and the Microsoft technologies that support them,” said Steve Winter, President of Planet Technologies. “Agencies gain a trusted public sector partner dedicated to helping them put advanced Microsoft capabilities to work in ways that solve real mission challenges and deliver measurable outcomes.”
