Microsoft is letting you customize your own keyboard shortcuts in Teams to match your work preferences. Customize the keyboard shortcut for an action you frequently use by clicking on the ellipsis and selecting Keyboard shortcuts from the menu. This is rolling out in June 2025 worldwide.

Admins in Purview Data Loss Protection can configure policies in Microsoft Edge for Business being used as the secure enterprise browser. Admins can apply protections directly in the Edge browser to target scenarios where users on unmanaged (or BYO) devices are sharing data to or exfiltrating data from org-managed cloud apps which are using Entra authentication for user sign-in. The feature is rolling out in June 2025.

Live captions in Microsoft will soon be scrollable, allowing users to review past conversation with more flexibility and over a larger surface area. Also, copying captions will be disabled by default to protect sensitive information and support compliance. The final improvement will be that ff transcription isn’t enabled, users who attempt to open the live transcript panel will see a banner suggesting they switch to live captions for real-time comprehension. These updates are expected in July for all customers.

Microsoft is adding functionality to offline mode in the new Outlook for Windows. You will now be able to do basic search functions without internet connection or when the search service fails. The update is currently rolling out worldwide.

Microsoft Copilot will soon help mobile users prepare for meetings on-the-go. Copilot quickly prepares you for meetings within minutes by summarizing key information such as summaries of meeting-related emails and documents, your specific actionable tasks, and a recap of the previous meeting. This helps ensure you are well-prepared upon arrival. The feature update is schedule for July 2025 for commercial customers.

Microsoft is developing modern eDiscovery enhancements to the eDiscovery experience in Microsoft Purview compliance portal. These updates include the ability to delete searches, bulk add data sources, custodian field for items review set and export, and advanced indexing enhancements – all in an effort to enhance the user experience in the eDiscovery modern workflows. These enhancements are currently in development with an expected launch of June 2025 for our commercial GCC and GCC high customers.

Microsoft Teams IT admins now benefit from unified role-based access controls (RBAC) across the Teams admin center and Teams Rooms Pro Management portals. This streamlined device management ensures smooth transitions between portals and consistency in environment management. RBAC is rolling out now for customers worldwide including GCC High.

Teams Audit Events for Meetings will soon be available in GCC. This enhancement will provide administrators with comprehensive insights into meeting activities, helping to ensure compliance and improve operational efficiency. Microsoft Purview Audit logs offer administrators the ability to search, filter, and export audit data for detailed analysis. These logs are essential for maintaining compliance, investigating incidents, and ensuring the security of Teams activities. The update is coming in June 2025 for GCC environments.

Microsoft 365 Copilot will soon leverage insights inferred from conversations between the user and Copilot, along with data from the Microsoft Graph and custom instructions to provide personalized help for tasks. Users will have the ability to view, manage, disable or clear memory at any time. The added functionality is coming in May 2025.

More detailed activity reports are coming to the Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal. A new feature will offer a comprehensive timeline view of a user’s potentially risky interactions that may result in a data security or compliance incident. It includes both interactions with other users and generative AI applications that have been flagged for review. As a result, reviewers can make informed decisions, streamlining the review process to be both efficient and effective.
